The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
